May Day celebration (“Prvosvibanjski uranak”) is a long-standing tradition held in Baška Voda since the 1960s, marking International Workers’ Day on May 1st. Dalmatian Prosciutto and Wine Days A two-day eno-gastro and entertainment event held for the ninth year in Vrgorac. It has become the largest Dalmatian prosciutto fair in Croatia and one of the most recognized events in the region. Set in a historic Austro-Hungarian park and city streets, the festival turns Vrgorac into a “festival in the city” with multiple stages, a rich fair, and varied programs. Focus is on the largest certified Dalmatian prosciutto (EU-protected), with other certified prosciuttos from Croatia and abroad, excellent native wines, and a variety of local delicacies. Visitors can taste premium products, meet producers from the region, and enjoy the combination of gastronomy, tradition, and entertainment through cooking shows, workshops, competitions, and evening concerts. Tens of thousands attend each year.
